Feeding Those Who Hunger

We run and/or support several local ministries dedicated to feeding others - both physically as well as spiritually.  You are invited to help with your gifts and your time.  Contact information is provided for each.

   Summer  Sandwiches

Recognizing that once school ends for the summer many children in our community no longer have access to healthy lunches, we began offering brown bag lunches weekly in a local park.  Following the lead of the First Congregational Church of Watertown, our summer sandwich program served over 100 lunches each Tuesday at Clark Park in Watertown. Volunteers prepared healthy bag lunches, then serving them in the park to children and families along with good fellowship and small toys for the kids. Contact Ann Nienow or the office for more information  or to sign up..

     Bread and Roses

Run and housed by Immanuel Lutheran Church (address) in Watertown, Bread and Roses offers a nutritious, hot meal to anyone every Thursday evening.  Christ UMC provides food and volunteers regularly throughout the year.  Contact Becky Fry or the office to help.

     Loaves and Fishes

Monday evenings from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm meals are served at the Watertown Moravian Church (address).  Christ UMC has been supporting this ministry financially, and now is scheduled to provide crews to serve several times in the coming year. Contact the office to get involved.
